Our first day here! Amazing! We flew into Jackson making the corkscrew descent - breathtaking; but alittle turbulence! We're not in Florida anymore! The mountains are incredible! We drove to the Dude ranch - Turpin Meadow Ranch - about 30 minutes out of Jackson. Only 5 minutes here, and Tyler stepped in horse poop! We got here just in time for dinner. They had a whole cookout right alongside the Snake River. God is amazing to have brought us here! We met the owners - they said they have been praying for us for the past 3 weeks in preparation for our trip. When we think of all that has happened over the past 3 weeks, we are glad we had these unknown friends as prayer partners too. We filled them in on all our events - Out of the 30 guests here, Beth Moore & family ate dinner here tonight also. They have a cabin right across the meadow. She comes to her cabin to write her books & then she comes over to the ranch to eat with everyone. Can you believe that??? Keith & I read her book that weekend we decided to leave his job - We are amazed at all the coincidences!!

We saw bison & deer already. One deer was right outside our cabin, but the kids were so excited & loud that they scared it away. Didn't yet get a picture. We stayed out by the campfire, listening to the guitar/campfire music. We made smores - yummy. Terri & Tyler met some of the kids who live here & had a blast playing on the lawn with them. Kevin, Mom & Dad met all the ranch workers & enjoyed getting to know them. We'll get some family pics uploaded tomorrow!

Kevin's quote: They don't have cell coverage here.
Tyler's quote: (as he looked down at the Snake River) Do they have crocodiles here?
Terri's quote: (upon seeing the huge moose head in our cabin) I'm not sleeping in this room!
Keith's quote: I should've brought my cowboy hat instead of my Panama Jack hat!
Julie's quote: (asking for directions at the local saloon) Dang, there are real cowboys in there!
